Learning to be Better Lovers. A walk with Katie Holten.
What is the language we need to live right now? How can we learn to be better lovers of the world?
Join Katie Holten for a forest walk to explore these questions and reflect on the significance of human connection with the more-than-human world as we collectively face the sixth mass extinction.
Katie will share her Forest Alphabet for Finland, a bespoke font made especially for the Helsinki Biennial.
The walk will begin with forest breathing and tree drawing exercises. Katie will use her book The Language of Trees to lead us on a journey into Forest Thinking.
We will have some paper and pencils on hand, but we encourage you to bring your own favorite drawing tools.
Rain or shine!
