The Saarella workshops at Helsinki’s Senior Centres

Senior citizens will be able to participate in the Helsinki Biennial by making individual art. The Saarella workshops will draw from Biennial art and the sea, and they will inspire participants to create imaginary islands together. Facilitators who are experienced in working with senior citizens will host the workshops and will be supplied with a pre-prepared workshop concept and materials.

The Saarella workshops are organised with the Helsinki City Social Services and Health Care Division. The workshops will be held from June to September at senior and service centres around Helsinki.
