A tour of Villa Gyllenberg home museum and Morbus exhibition

08.6 klo 11:00 — Kuusisaarenpolku 11

Villa Gyllenberg is a home and art museum in the former home of banker and art collector Ane Gyllenberg and his wife Signe. The museum shows an upper-class home from the mid-20th century and an art collection with Finnish and international art from the 17th to the 20th century. The gallery extension, built after the couple had passed, presents different exhibitions.

In the summer of 2025 Morbus fills the gallery with contemporary art that explores the theme of illness and getting sick. How do we relate to the body and illness in our performance-oriented and health-obsessed culture? The exhibition is inspired by the psychosomatic medical research supported by Signe and Ane Gyllenberg Foundation, which runs the museum. Exhibition curator and artist Magdalena Åberg presents the exhibition. Bubbles and macarons in the museum cafeteria, or weather permitting, on the terrace facing the sea.
