Helsinki Biennial is looking for a Producer
Helsinki Biennial is now looking for a new producer to join the team.
The producer will work with artwork and event productions for the Helsinki Biennial and become part of HAM Helsinki Art Museum’s exhibitions team and the Biennial’s multidisciplinary production team. During the installation and event phases of the Biennial, the work will primarily take place on-site at the venues.
This role offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of artistic content, creative problem-solving and international collaboration. The position combines diverse production responsibilities with close cooperation with artists, partners and the wider Biennial team.
The Producer’s responsibilities include coordinating and practical arrangements of the artwork productions and events, managing purchases related to productions, cooperating with Helsinki Biennial artists and collaborators, and contributing to the Biennial’s sustainability reporting.
We are looking for a collaborative and problem-solving professional who enjoys working in an international context. The role requires the ability to manage large entities and multiple simultaneous projects while staying on schedule.
We expect candidates to have relevant higher education degree or equivalent practical experience, previous experience in exhibition or event production, and excellent written and spoken English skills.
Experience in the arts sector, urban space or outdoor event production, familiarity with carbon footprint calculation principles and tools, and Finnish language skills are considered an advantage.
We offer the opportunity to work closely with inspiring artistic content in a professional and positive environment, together with employee benefits including lunch, commuting and culture/sports benefits, occupational healthcare services and flexible working hours.
The position is temporary from 1 October 2026 to 31 October 2027. The role is part-time (60%) from 1 October to 31 December 2026 and 1–31 October 2027, and full-time from 1 January to 30 September 2027.
